How we work

No mystery about what happens after you call. Here is how a visit works, start to finish.

1. You call or send the form

Tell us the address, which zones are acting up and what you see: a wet spot, a dry patch, a zone that will not start or a controller that is blank. Photos help. We call back to set a time; the form alone does not book a slot.

2. We test before we replace

We run each zone from the controller, watch the heads, check pressure, and test valves and wiring with a meter. A dead zone can be a solenoid, a cut wire, a bad controller station or a stuck valve. Testing first keeps you from paying for parts you do not need.

3. You get the price before the work

We explain what failed and what it costs to fix. If we find something else along the way, we stop and tell you before doing it.

4. Repair and check

After the repair we run the affected zones again with you, adjust heads that are spraying the street or the house, and set the controller for the season.

5. A short record

You get a note listing what we fixed, the parts used and anything worth watching. Keep it; it makes the next visit faster.

Common questions

Do you work on any brand?

We work on the common residential brands of heads, valves and controllers. If a part is no longer made, we explain the compatible options.

What about a sprinkler that will not shut off?

Close the irrigation shut-off or the water main and call us. A stuck valve can waste hundreds of gallons in an hour.

Where does the information on this site come from?

Our pages draw on Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, TCEQ irrigation rules, manufacturer instructions and what we see in local yards. Rules change, so we check what applies before permit work.
