Share the controller and sensor models if visible, when the problem began and whether watering is incorrectly allowed or prevented. Do not bypass a sensor to make the system operate without understanding its purpose.
Compatibility questions
Ask the technician to confirm how the sensor communicates with the controller and whether settings are appropriate. If proposing a replacement, request confirmation that the new device is supported by the installed controller.
Quote boundaries
Check whether the scope includes access, mounting, wiring or wireless setup, configuration and an operating check. A controller upgrade may already include different weather-based features, so avoid paying twice for overlapping work.
